Law
Education goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. We believe in empowering students to explore their passions challenge conventions.
The Department of Law aims to provide students with a legal education that combines a strong theoretical foundation with a practice-oriented, contemporary, and international perspective. In addition to helping students grasp the fundamental principles and institutions of law, our program supports the development of critical thinking, legal analysis, research, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
Our curriculum covers the fundamental and current fields of law, including Constitutional Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Administrative Law, Commercial Law, Labor and Social Security Law, International Law, and the Law of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, among others. Enriched with comparative and international legal perspectives, the program encourages students to critically evaluate different legal systems and current legal developments.
In our Department, which places great importance on integrating theoretical knowledge with practice, students have the opportunity to apply their legal knowledge to real-life problems through case studies, seminars, research projects, hands-on exercises, and professional development activities. Guided by our experienced faculty, the educational process aims to develop not only students’ academic competencies but also their professional skills.
The Department of Law aims to educate qualified legal professionals who embrace the rule of law, justice, human rights, equality, and professional ethical values; who can think analytically and independently; and who are capable of playing an effective role in both national and international legal environments.
