
Fatma Özok was born in Nicosia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Her artistic journey began at a young age, shaped by her passion for expressing creativity through different materials and disciplines. In 2023, she graduated as the top student of her class from the Department of Plastic Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Cyprus American University.
A major turning point in her art career came in 2002 when she founded ClayArt Ceramic Art Studio. There, she creates original artworks using a variety of materials such as ceramics, glass, and paper, while also providing art education for both children and adults. Her works have been exhibited in numerous local and international group exhibitions, and she has led various art projects.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, between 2002 and 2018 she served as a director and executive at Özok Group, playing an active role in strategic planning, corporate development, and management processes. This experience enabled her to gain significant expertise in corporate governance and leadership.
A socially responsible artist and businesswoman, Fatma Özok has held active roles in many non-governmental organizations. She served as President of the Girne Inner Wheel Club (2020–2021) and the Businesswomen’s Association (2023–2024), was a founding member of the Cyprus Women’s Stories Association, and continues to be a member of the Cyprus Ceramic Artists Association and the Cyprus Paper Artists Association.
In her solo exhibitions, she has presented her artistic approach through various themes. Her glass-ceramic works “Dialectic” (2022) and her ceramic exhibition “Resonance” (2023) drew attention for their conceptual depth and technical mastery. Her works have been featured in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey, the TRNC, and across Europe.
Beyond her art, she has a deep interest in reading, philosophy, history, and art history. By combining her creative output with both individual work and socially-oriented projects, she aims to bring the transformative power of art into all areas of life.
